Cheesy Mac and Cheese

Recipe: Cheesy Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Fontina
  • ½ cup Gouda
  • 8 ounces cubed processed cheese
  • (Velveeta or American)
  • ¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2-3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook elbow pasta according to box directions, cook until al dente. Drain.
  2. 2. In a medium saucepan, over medium heat melt butter. Whisk flour and stir vigorously. Add milk and cook until thick and bubbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add cheeses and stir until completely melted.
  3. 3. In a large bowl mix together the drained pasta and cheese sauce mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. 4. Melt butter and add to bread crumbs. Blend together. Sprinkle on top of mac and cheese.
  5. 5. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let stand 10 before serving.
